JUVÉDERM

JUVÉDERM® is a collection of 6 unique hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers that temporarily add volume for different needs in seven specific areas of the face.

JUVÉDERM® VOLLURE® XC softens moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds (eg, nasolabial folds) by adding volume around the nose and mouth.
JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA® XC is for deep injection in the cheek area to correct age-related volume loss and for augmentation of the chin region to improve the chin profile.
JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® XC adds volume to the lips for a subtle plump, softens the appearance of perioral lines, and improves the appearance of undereye hollows. JUVÉDERM® ULTRA PLUS XC smooths moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds around your nose and mouth.
JUVÉDERM® ULTRA XC adds fullness and plumps lips as well as smooths and corrects moderate to severe wrinkles and folds in adults.
JUVÉDERM® VOLUX® XC adds volume along the jawline area to improve jawline definition in patients with moderate to severe loss. The added volume augments the shape and structure of the lower face.

The main ingredient in JUVÉDERM® fillers is a modified form of HA. JUVÉDERM® fillers temporarily restore volume loss in certain areas of the face and help provide long-lasting, natural-looking results. Juvederm uses a unique Vycross® Technology process that cross-links the hyaluronic acid (HA) molecules in these JUVÉDERM fillers that results in a specialized, smooth gel filler. The safety and effectiveness of Vycross® Technology has been widely studied.

RADIESSE

Radiesse is a revolutionary injectable filler, approved by the FDA for cosmetic use in treating nasolabial folds (smile lines that run from the nose to the corners of the mouth), marionette lines (running from the corners of the mouth downward), oral commissures (corners of the mouth), pre-jowl folds (on the sides of the chin where the skin can sag with loss of facial volume), chin lines (horizontal wrinkles that form on the chin), and backs of the hands (to restore volume).

It is composed of calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres suspended in aqueous (containing water) carrier gel. The calcium microspheres are like minerals occurring naturally in the body. When injected into the skin, Radiesse adds volume and provides correction immediately, and also stimulates production of the body’s own collagen, with results that can last for a year or more after the procedure. This filler is completely biocompatible and biodegradable. Over time, the body absorbs the gel and metabolizes the calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres, leaving only your own natural collagen behind. It takes longer for Radiesse to break down than most hyaluronic acid fillers. It has been clinically proven to last for a year or more in most patients.

Hyperdilute Radiesse

A newer and highly effective use for Radiesse is the technique of hypderdilution. When diluted and injected superficially, Radiesse acts as a collagen stimulating agent. The Hyperdilute Radiesse technique combines the filler with saline and lidocaine, thinning the consistency and increasing the volume of product. The Hyperdilute Radiesse is then injected into the desired area through a thin cannula. This treatment is a favorable alternative to surgical intervention such as facelift or neck and décolleté lift.
